National Maritime Museum
Parkside Café & Terrace
Opening times: Daily 10am – 5pm
Located in the Sammy Ofer Wing of the National Maritime Museum, the Parkside Café and Terrace is a bright and airy space across two floors with expansive views of Greenwich Royal Park. There is plenty of seating on both floors both indoor and outdoor making it a perfect destination for a relaxing breakfast or lunch.
The Parkside Café and Terrace is open to everyone – you do not need to be a museum visitor to visit us.
Enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious hot meal. There is something for everyone; from our maritime burger, traditional fish and chips and our new special children’s menu.
Why not try our bookable Royal Afternoon Tea? A British tradition served overlooking Greenwich Royal Park. Our sumptuous afternoon tea menu is available here.
The BBQ is fired up on the upstairs terrace during the warmer months and it’s a great place to look out over the park. Please note you do not need to be a museum visitor to dine at the Parkside Café and Terrace.

The Great Map Café
Open: 10am–4.30pm daily.
Located on the first floor of the National Maritime Museum, this open-plan café sits alongside the Great Map, our giant world atlas. Relax with a cup of our award-winning Benugo coffee while the little ones explore the continents. Classic British sandwiches and a variety of freshly made cakes provide delicious sustenance. Or order a beautifully designed children’s lunchbox or Cream Tea, each for just £5.
Cutty Sark Café
Open: 10am–5pm daily
While Cutty Sark's days of racing across the oceans to get the finest and freshest teas back to London may be over, the British tea-drinking tradition can still be experienced under its magnificent copper hull.
The Cutty Sark Café is located on the lower ground deck of the boat. We serve deli combination sandwiches with classic British ingredients, cakes made fresh for you daily, cream teas, assorted snacks and children’s dishes, with many healthy options. Please note that entry to this café is for Cutty Sark ticket-holders only.
Fancy indulging in the full Afternoon Tea experience? Book in advance for the full monty: finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam and a selection of mini cakes. Astronomy Café & Terrace

Located in the Astronomy Centre at the Royal Observatory, the Astronomy Café & Terrace is a relaxed spot in which to enjoy a light lunch (a warming soup, say, or a seasonal salad) before strolling through Greenwich Park. The café’s outdoor terrace is a coveted spot on sunny days. The Astronomy Café & Terrace is open to all, not just museum visitors.
